Got sushi there for New Year's Eve, very tasty

Very tasty sushi ... I think the rice is extraordinary (positive). So absolutely recommendable!

Excellent sushi and good service! You can also find good white wine on the menu and I can highly recommend the tempura.

The selection is not that big, but pretty tasty

Some of the best sushi in Erlangen for sure. All you can eat isn't back yet thanks to COVID, but I'm sure to be back for another visit once it is. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and I felt the prices were fair for the quality of sushi.

Unexpectedly delicious sushi for a very affordable price (lunch menu). Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Interior might appear a bit worn-out but all in all worth a visit.

Ginkgo is really recommendable. The food there is so good, especially if you like sushi. 😉 The staff is also very nice, polite and quick.

Good food, somewhat confusing description of the set menus where 1 sashimi is a single sashimi (logical) but 1 shiitake hosa maki is actually 6 small rolls – so I over-ordered pretty heavily (but I assume this way if counting is a cultural thing).

Always a great place for sushi

I have not been so fascinated by a place for a long time. I think the inn is contemporary for all occasions - irrelevant whether with buddy, friends or clan ;-). Surely I come here with my people and can rely on being served decently. As far as I'm concerned, I would have liked to have tasted hunger first, but then there would not have been the slightest space left for the great food.

This is by far the best Sushi in Erlangen. The service is great and the prices are very moderate. It can really compete with sushi places abroad

Nice sushi, maki and California rolls. The gyoza are amazing as well (especially the homemade vinegar sauce). All you can eat three nights a week

Very good value for money. The miso soup is absolutely delicious I recommend. Nice location also with balcony for the summer and possibility of eating on the ground.

Somewhat hidden, the Ginkgo Sushi Bar is centrally located in the pedestrian area. There are both running sushi and a la carte. Highly recommended: reserve a table on the balcony and enjoy a balmy summer evening with a view. In the back area there are Japanese tables set in the floor. The service was friendly and the vegetarian sushi very good.

My personal rating is 3 stars. It does not mean that the place is bad. It is my top 3 sushi in Erlangen, but I cannot give the same rating as to the top one or top two. Now it is time for a long review with comparison. Recently I spend entire salary in sushi restaurants and this is the result: 1 HiroSakao - fancy 2 Sen - relaxed 3 Gingo - cheaper Long: Gingo is a nice cozy place with very helpful service. Sushi are inexpensive and tasty but simple. Main attraction is the running bar “all you can eat”. Sen: same nice and cozy. More expensive. Relaxed atmosphere of a tapas bar. Tasty. More sophisticated sushi. Good choice if you like much sauce or slightly fatter sushi. Drinks are sweeter than others (I don’t like sweet, but this is my subjective opinion). Swimming boats with dishes are interesting. Not “all you can eat”. Reservation is necessary. HiroSakao: with price slightly higher than Sen it is a fancy restaurant with fine and most sophisticated sushi. Less fat and sauce, more ingredients. Less sugar in drinks. Usually very busy, reservation is really necessary. They give tables only for one and a half hour.

Love the Sushi plates as well as atmospher since this resturant has Japaness tables, I was not very happy with the food which I order, except the sushis which were perfect.

We come here often for lunch. Good prices, good variety, and tasty.

A unique experience... First the food was good but the service left a lot to be desired. Although we made reservations, we were asked to switch tables 2 times during our visit. Our waiter always seemed to leave us waiting. Lastly, the added 3 additional beers to our order.
